While women in academia have made significant progress as incoming faculty they continue to lag behind in their move into senior academic and administrative positions and in their pursuit for pay equity. Unfortunately, at many colleges and universities the gender gap has been persistent and resistant to change. The Standing Committee on the Status of Women Faculty and its Pay Equity & Fairness Subcommittee are working closely with Colorado State University to promote discussion of faculty gender equity and are fully participating in activities for its improvement.
